Rafael Benitez has already been confirmed to be the new manager of Real Madrid as he replaced Carlo Ancelotti who was sacked a few weeks ago. The Spanish manager signed a 3 year long contract with Real Madrid and now the president, Florentino Perez is hoping that with the arrival of Benitez, the club will be able to secure major titles which they failed to do in this recently concluded season.
A lot of doubts are surrounding Real Madrid involving Benitez and what formation he will be utilizing. Gareth Bale had a very impressive debut season as a player of Real Madrid as he helped the team in securing a Champions League and Copa del Rey title but Bale struggled to do anything really noteworthy ever since then.
The agent of Gareth Bale is Jonathan Barnett and he has revealed that the Welsh player is not feeling comfortable playing down the right wing and Bale is wishing that Benitez will use different formations as well as switch the position of players.
Manchester United is targeting Gareth Bale and the Premier League club is hoping they can sign him during the summer transfer window and if Benitez does not fulfill Gareth Bale’s wishes of being moved away from the right wing, the Welsh player might be interested in joining another club where he can perform at his best. Since retiring from playing football at a competitive level, Zinedine Zidane went on to join Real Madrid’s internal staff as the Frenchman turned into the technical director of the Spanish club as well as becoming the assistant coach of Carlo Ancelotti.
Zidane also aids in the process of searching around for potential new players that could be signed to the team and he has rejected rumors that were involving Gareth Bale with a move away from Real Madrid during the approaching summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are some of the top European clubs that have been linked with Gareth Bale as the Welshman attracted the attention of the Premier League but Zinedine Zidane stated that Real Madrid has no plans or intentions of selling him.
Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane said: ‘’Real Madrid buy the best players in the world. They don’t sell them. Of course other clubs will be interested in him, he would improve any squad in the world, but the president has said he is not for sale and that is because he is not for sale. That will be the answer to Manchester United or any other club that asks the question.’’ Continue reading Zinedine Zidane shuts down transfer rumors involving Gareth Bale
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti claims that the attitude of the club’s record signing, Gareth Bale, has substantially improved in the last few weeks.
Bale has come in for intense criticism from Real Madrid supporters themselves, which has surprised many. Despite having cost more than Cristiano Ronaldo, Bale has been playing second fiddle to the Portuguese more often than not. His goal scoring records and assist figures are significantly lower than Ronaldo. Bale was part of the team that lost 4-0 to Atletico Madrid in the league. This was a humiliating defeat which only increased the pressure on the Welshman.
Since the match, though, Ancelotti says that there has been working extremely hard and it is not a surprise to see him play a key role in the club’s three consecutive victories. All these victories have not been achieved with the same kind of flair that Madrid showed towards the end of 2014.
It is now almost a month since Bale last scored or assisted a goal. Even though he has completed 90 minutes of action in all of the matches since the 4-1 win over Real Sociedad, Bale has been unable to make much of an impact in terms of statistical figures. Ancelotti says that this will change in the coming matches, as the 25-year-old gets more confidence. Continue reading Carlo Ancelotti says Attitude of Bale Improved
Gareth Bale scored in his third consecutive final after helping Real Madrid lift the Club World Cup in Morocco. This was seen as the ultimate prize for this Madrid team that lifted the Copa del Rey and the Champions League last season.
Bale scored in both these matches, as he managed to show that he was worthy of the world record transfer fee of £ 85 million that was paid to Tottenham for his services. He has continued on his scoring spree after getting the second goal against San Lorenzo in the final. His goal came after defender Sergio Ramos put the favourites ahead in the first half.
Incidentally, Ramos scored in both legs of the semifinals and the final of the Champions League. Continue reading Gareth Bale scored in his Third Straight Final
Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale is in contention to face Liverpool after returning to training.
Gareth Bale had been suffering from a buttock injury but is now all set to comeback. It has been reported that Real Madrid is all ready to welcome him back and he will be playing for the Champions’ League group game at the Bernabeu. This has recently punctuated troubles for Liverpool. Gareth has almost missed five games till now because of the injury but he has now returned to training right in time. People are looking to get their place secured in the last 16 with the European tie coming up.
Real Madrid has already won a game after Gareth’s comeback. He has recovered and also joined the team in a recovery session. Most probably he shall be completely fit to join Cristiano Ronaldo for the visit of Liverpool. Gareth has joined the team or the main group for the week’s last training session as stated by a Real. The training was of a series of demanding dribbling, shooting circuits and as well as passing. This was basically for the ones who had not started in Granada and were outfielders. This included Gareth too. Real Madrid has been of late in a very good position and has been playing really well.
Everyone is very happy with the game that they are playing and the only thing they need to do is to keep up the spirit and keep playing well. They need to also keep trying to add more and more to their game. There is always room for improvement. Since the first meeting last month between Liverpool and Real Madrid their fortunes have been very different and contrasting. The club’s problems are further being exposed after the loss at Newcastle United.
