The future of Gareth Bale at Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid is quite a complicated one and there have been many things written about it in the media. While Bale appears to be disinterested in playing for the club again sometimes, other times, he just appears to be someone who just wants to try and enjoy his football. The larger part of the period when he appeared to be totally uninterested in playing football was under the club’s former manager Zinedine Zidane. The French manager fell out with the Wales international winger for a reason that is yet to be revealed and it not only cost him a place in the Real Madrid team, it also increased his disinterest in football.

After Zidane left the club, many thought that the time for Bale to regain his place in the starting XI would finally come and it was looking even more likely when Carlo Ancelotti was confirmed as the man that would be replacing Zidane at the helm. Italian manager Ancelotti had a good working relationship with Bale during his previous stint as Real Madrid manager and it was the main reason that got people thinking that the Welsh winger would finally be allowed to have some game time. BALE: I LEARNT A LOT FROM JOSE MOURINHO

The Portuguese manager has often been criticized for using old methods of management to hamper the attacking ability of the attackers n his team even though he has always responded to his critics with sarcasm. ROBINSON SAYS BALE NOW HAS CHANCE TO SHINE

Paul Robinson has had nothing but words of praise for Gareth Bale following the winger’s sublime showing against fellow league side Southampton in their Premier League clash on Wednesday. Tottenham hosted Southampton at the Tottenham Stadium in what was Ryan Mason’s first game as the manager in charge of the London club and he saw his side overturn a 1-0 deficit to record a 2-1 comeback win.

Bale was agreeably one of the best players on the pitch on the night and he wrapped up a fine performance by appearing on the scoresheet. Robinson was particularly impressed by Bale given how hard it was for the 31-year-old attacked to start games when Portuguese manager José Mourinho was still in charge of the club.

WILL SPURS SIGN BALE PERMANENTLY

The future of Gareth Bale was in serious doubt until this weekend when he finally announced his second coming at Tottenham Hotspur. The Welsh international player had been a shadow of himself in his second spell at Tottenham Hotspur until this weekend when he announced himself with two goals and one assist during the 4-0 thumping of Burnley at home on Sunday. Gareth Bale re-signed for Tottenham Hotspur on loan from Real Madrid last year, seven years after he had left the club for the same Spanish La Liga outfit for a then world-record fee of £85.3m. Since his return to Spurs, manager Jose Mourinho has not played him regularly but that could change now after his heroics at the weekend. His performance against the Clarets would have gone a long way to convince the Spurs heirarchy about signing the Welshman on a permanent deal at the end of his loan spell this summer. He had scored one goal in the league and was looking largely unfit due to a lack of playing time until the last one week.
