Manchester United favourite Dwight Yorke believes his former side should make their move to sign Gareth Bale during the summer transfer window. The Wales international has been heavily tipped for a Premier League return in recent weeks and Yorke feels United would be the ‘perfect addition’ for the current squad.

Earlier in March, Mourinho insisted that the club may not make any forward signing during the summer transfer window but that focus may change in the coming weeks with Anthony Martial weighing up an exit. The Frenchman’s agent has recently admitted that he could pursue a fresh challenge away from Old Trafford and his potential sale may provide United with additional funds to push through a deal for Bale.
Nevertheless, any move does not appear straightforward with Bale yet to make up a decision over his future. Shortly after last month’s Champions League final triumph, the Welshman admitted that he could leave Los Blancos due to the restricted game-time but the surprise resignation of Zinedine Zidane appears to have changed the complexion of his future.
During Zidane’s stay, Bale was regularly linked with a Bernabeu exit but his departure could now enhance his chances of establishing himself at the prime of his career. Ex-Spain manager Julen Lopetegui has already been appointed as Zidane’s successor and Bale is expected to hold face-to-face talks with the Spaniard in the near future.
