BALE EYEING REAL MADRID SWANSONG

Tottenham Hotspur forward Gareth Bale is said to be keeping tabs on events at parent club Real Madrid and that he wants a final season with the Spanish champions. This is according to the various reports emanating from the media in Spain and the United Kingdom. Gareth Bale is a Real Madrid player but he’s on loan at Tottenham Hotspur for this season for his second spell in North London. Gareth Bale was a Spurs player until Real Madrid paid a record transfer fee of £85.3m to sign him in 2013.

His return to Spurs at the start of this season has not yielded the expected results especially for the player as he has been left out of the team on several occasions by manager Jose Mourinho. The Welshman has featured in just nine of the 22 Spurs games in all competitions and he has two goals to show for his troubles, one in the Europa League and the other one in the Premier League. Gareth has played a total of 509 minutes for Spurs under Jose Mourinho this season. He’s said to be paying close attention to the developments at Real Madrid.

Gareth Bale wants to return to Real Madrid to play for one final season as he still has unfinished business at the club. According to Spanish newspaper AS, sources close to Gareth Bale revealed that the player wants a Real Madrid return and that could be possible with the long-term future of Zidane under scrutiny.

Zidane and Bale didn’t see eye-to-eye as the Welshman was frozen out of his Real team last season. Gareth Bale could even return to Real Madrid whether Zidane leaves on his own or via the sack letter from club president Florentino Perez, but the major stumbling block could be his annual wages. At the moment, Spurs and Real Madrid share his €30m annual wages.
