Zinedine Zidane shuts down transfer rumors involving Gareth Bale

Since retiring from playing football at a competitive level, Zinedine Zidane went on to join Real Madrid’s internal staff as the Frenchman turned into the technical director of the Spanish club as well as becoming the assistant coach of Carlo Ancelotti.

Zidane also aids in the process of searching around for potential new players that could be signed to the team and he has rejected rumors that were involving Gareth Bale with a move away from Real Madrid during the approaching summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are some of the top European clubs that have been linked with Gareth Bale as the Welshman attracted the attention of the Premier League but Zinedine Zidane stated that Real Madrid has no plans or intentions of selling him.

Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane said: ‘’Real Madrid buy the best players in the world. They don’t sell them. Of course other clubs will be interested in him, he would improve any squad in the world, but the president has said he is not for sale and that is because he is not for sale. That will be the answer to Manchester United or any other club that asks the question.’’

‘’He was a big part of our success last season especially in the Champions League, and as we look to defend our title I am sure he will play a successful part again.’’

Louis van Gaal is expected to be given a transfer budget in the region of €140 million so that he can improve his Manchester United squad in the summer and Gareth Bale was at the top of the list of the Dutchman but if what Zinedine Zidane says is indeed true then Louis van Gaal will have to search around the transfer market for another player who could reinforce the team.
